About me

I am passionately enthusiastic about helping people and designing tools that are useful, accessible, and usable.

My foundation in librarianship enhances my innate curiosity, and allows me to focus on how, if designed with the user in mind, technology can help solve real-world problems.

My career often had me working as a solo information professional (Information Architect/UX Strategist, Researcher, and/or Designer) within a large organization or company. These experiences involved me teaching everyone I encountered about the importance that the user plays in design decisions.

My expertise is identifying the sweet spot of a Venn diagram where user needs, business requirements, and available data overlap. If we make decisions with too much of a focus on any one of these three areas, we decrease the chances of success. Targeting that sweet spot means we are designing things that are useful. Designing for accessibility inherently leads to greater usability.
